Elders

In the Church of God in Christ, an Ordained Elder is a minister who has successfully completed an apprenticeship and demonstrated a strong Christian experience, along with a clear calling to the ministry.

An Ordained Elder holds the authority to administer the sacred ordinances of the church. An Elder has the authority to preach, lead worship services, conduct the Lord’s Supper, perform baptisms, and officiate marriage ceremonies.
